16×9’s DOP wins fifth Canadian Society of Cinematographers award

Congratulations to 16×9 Director of Photography, Kirk Neff, who picked up the 2014 Canadian Society of Cinematographers News Magazine Cinematography award on March 22nd.

Neff was nominated twice in one category for his work on the 16×9 pieces “Stolen Faces”, and “Bus Rape Outrage”. Neff picked up the CSC award for “Stolen Faces”.

“Global News and Shaw Media are proud of Kirk’s accomplishments at 16×9, a program designed to be as visually compelling as it is informative,” said Ron Waksman, Senior Director of Online and Current Affairs for Global News. “Kirk started laying the foundation for outstanding cinematography in season one and has upped the ante in every season since.”

Neff adds this prestigious award to an impressive list of awards that includes eight RTDNA awards, two Gemini awards (now Canadian Screen Awards) and four earlier CSC awards. Congratulations Kirk on another well deserved award for the incredible, creative work you do at 16×9.
