Officials closed off a portion of Robson, Richards and Seymour Streets in downtown Vancouver Monday morning because of a natural gas leak at a construction site.

Nearby buildings, including the Vancouver Public Library, were evacuated due to the strong smell of gas.

It is believed the leak was caused by the construction crew.

It appears there are no injuries or any danger to the public, but crews closed off the area as a precaution.

Everyone has been allowed back into the building now.
