Female bus driver assaulted in an unprovoked attack in Vancouver

Three young women have been arrested and charged with assault after an alleged unprovoked attack on a female bus driver.

At approximately 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, the three women and three young men got on a Coast Mountain bus near Broadway and Fraser Street in Vancouver without paying their fare.

Another passenger reported the youth were being noisy and were openly drinking at the back of the bus.

The female driver pulled over her bus and told the group they would have to get off the bus.

That is when the three women have allegedly attacked the driver, grabbing her hair and punching her.

The suspects ran away when confronted by other passengers. They were taken into custody shortly after.
