Heavy rain will soak South Coast regions this weekend with up to 80 mm expected in Howe Sound, Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
Significant rainfall will develop overnight and continue through Saturday.
An intense Pacific frontal system is rapidly approaching coastal British Columbia and will move across the North Coast regions this evening, bringing another 10 to 20 centimeters of snow.
But, all areas across northern B.C. will see snow and a risk of freezing rain overnight before changing to rain Saturday.
As this large system slides southeast it will bring rainfall accumulations of 100 to 120 mm to West Vancouver Island and the Port Alice area of North Vancouver Island starting tonight and continuing through Saturday.
