TORONTO – Toronto police have issued a public safety alert after allegations that a man was seen committing an indecent act in the children’s section of a bookstore.
It’s alleged the incident happened on Friday just before 6 p.m. when a man was found committing an indecent act in the children’s literature section of a book store at 2300 Yonge Street.
Police say the man left the scene before officers arrived.
He’s described as white, about 40 to 50 years old, six feet tall and 150 pounds with short grey hair.
He was last seen wearing a dark, long-sleeve shirt and black pants and carrying a black backpack and Toronto police have posted a photograph of the suspect on their website.
Investigators are seeking the public’s help identifying the man and urge anyone with information to contact Toronto police or Crime Stoppers.
