Officials are warning the public of a very high-risk violent sex offender released from custody Friday who is planning to live in Surrey, B.C.
Narinder Wasan, 49, has a criminal history that includes sex assault, sex assault with a weapon, sexual interference, assault, failure to comply, uttering threats, breach of trust and drug offences, according to the Ministry of Justice.
Officials say he has a “versatile pattern of sexual offending” against both women and girls.
Wasan is East Indian, 5’7″ tall, 180 pounds with a bald head and brown eyes.
He must abide by 20 conditions, including not contacting girls under the age of 18, not attending public places where girls may be present, not possessing any knives except for eating, not possessing any weapons and not taking drugs or alcohol.
He is also not allowed to enter liquor stores or have any contact with sex trade workers.
Anyone who sees Wasan breaching any of his conditions is asked to call 911.
