TORONTO – Much of southern Ontario remains under a wind chill warning, including the Greater Toronto Area.
After wind chills in the minus 30 range or colder overnight, forecasters say the cold is likely to continue into today.
Toronto’s high will be -10 degrees Celsius with an overnight low of -14.
Environment Canada says a bitterly cold Arctic air mass over southern Ontario will persist through the day, before a slow moderating trend arrives later this week.
Frostbite and hypothermia can occur within minutes if adequate precautions are not taken when outdoors.
