MONTREAL – A video produced with the support of Montreal’s Jewish General Hospital shows images of healthcare workers treating patients while wearing conspicuous religious symbols like the cross, hijab, kippa and turban.
It was created by Ari Grunzeweig of Imagination Creations, who said he felt the need help educate others, the moment he heard about the Charter of Quebec Values.
“It’s just to show that in the reality of Quebec’s society there’s plenty of diversity,” he told Global News.
“That’s a good thing, that attributes to our society today. It’s not something that we should hide or keep in the closet.”

Dr. Ronald Schondorf is a neurologist at the hospital and is seen near the end of the video wearing a kippah while consulting a patient.
“What’s more important is to be involved in the process in general,” Schondorf explained.
“Which is to stand-up against a law that I think will be to the detriment of virtually every Quebecer. Whether they realize it or not.”
The video, with its images of people is a stark contrast to the advertisement released by the Parti Quebecois to launch its discussion around the charter of values.

Grunzeweig’s aim was to make his video positive and subtle.
Also to leave out any dialogue and add very few words.
“We wanted to make them count so the message of “we’re here to help” simply means that that’s what people in hospitals are here to do. To do their jobs and help regular ppl who come into the hospitals get better.”
So far the video has over 11,000 views YouTube.
