Police investigate two Dartmouth vehicle-pedestrian collisions

HALIFAX – Police are looking for a man in his 50s or 60s who was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run in Dartmouth.

Around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, a 16-year-old boy was hit on the sidewalk on Victoria Road. The grey Ford truck pulled out a parking lot and drove away after the collision. The teen was not injured.

This was the second pedestrian collision of the day. A 29-year-old woman is being fined $693.95 for failing to yield to a pedestrian. Around 11 a.m. Thursday, she reportedly hit a 55-year-old man who was walking through the Mic Mac Mall parking lot in a marked crosswalk.

The victim was not seriously injured but was taken to hospital.
