TORONTO — Bruno Mars is coming to Canada.
The Grammy-winning singer announced the next leg of his Moonshine Jungle Tour on Tuesday, including stops in six Canadian cities.
Mars will perform July 23 at Montreal’s Bell Centre, July 24 at Ottawa’s Canadian Tire Centre, July 26 at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre, Aug. 2 at Winnipeg’s MTS Centre, Aug 3 at Saskatoon’s Credit Union Centre and Aug. 5 at Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome.
Mars will be joined in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal by Pharrell. In other cities, Aloe Blacc — who provides the vocals on Avicii’s hit “Wake Me Up” — will open the show.
The 28-year-old singer, whose real name is Richard Hernandez, has released two albums: 2010’s Doo-Wops & Hooligans and 2012’s Unorthodox Jukebox. His hits include “Just The Way You Are,” “Marry You” and “Locked Out of Heaven.”
Mars won a Grammy in 2011 for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and has four nominations for this year’s awards.
He co-wrote the anthemic “Wavin’ Flag” for Toronto-based artist K’naan.
