WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Jets have re-assigned forward John Albert to the St. John’s IceCaps of the American Hockey League.
Albert, 24, appeared in his first NHL game and scored his first goal on Dec. 2 versus the New York Rangers. He did not get another point during his eight-game stint with the Jets.

Albert has three goals and five assists in 23 games with St. John’s this season.
He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the sixth round, 175th overall, in the 2007 NHL draft.
