TORONTO – Toronto Police and EMS are responding after reports of a shooting at Queen subway station, at approximately 8 p.m.
Toronto EMS said a man in his 20s was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after suffering a gunshot wound.
A tweet from TTC Chair Karen Stintz’s Twitter account said she was aware of an incident at Queen subway station.
The TTC says there’s no subway service between Union and Bloor stations.
The province’s Special Investigations Unit has been called in to investigate, police say.
The SIU investigates all cases involving police and civilians that have resulted in a death, serious injury, or allegations of sexual assault.
