April is IBS Awareness Month! 13-20% of Canadians have irritable bowel syndrome. It is so common that it’s likely you know at least one person with this functional disorder. IBS is a chronic, functional gastrointestinal disorder characterized by abdominal pain, bloating, and altered bowel patterns, including constipation and/or diarrhea.
