John R. Kennedy

John R. Kennedy is an award-winning journalist with 28 years of professional experience and the only journalist to have his work published in eight of the 10 top-selling magazines on Canadian newsstands and in 18 of the country’s daily newspapers.
John was a reporter and editor at several newspapers and magazines in Ottawa and Toronto before being named the first-ever Canadian Bureau Chief for American Media Inc., where he reported for its stable of popular celebrity magazines. John later became Canadian Bureau Chief for Splash News & Picture Agency.
John also served as Entertainment Producer at CanWest, creating content for the company’s online properties as well as its daily newspapers across Canada. He then took on the role of Associate Editor at Hello! Canada.
A longtime contributor to Toronto’s NOW, John’s reporting has also been published in The Globe and Mail, The Sun (UK) and in a number of trade and consumer magazines, including Playback.
He has also hosted and produced content for a number of television and radio programs both in the U.S. and Canada.
Syndicated by Corbis, his photographs have appeared in hundreds of publications around the world and on websites including People, Vanity Fair Italy, Cosmopolitan, New York Post, The Hollywood Reporter, US Weekly, and Daily Mail.
John spent nearly three years as photographer for the Toronto edition of Metro and worked as photo editor for The Associated Press during the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival. He has covered three Royal tours.
John is a member of the Canadian Association of Journalists.
He is a recipient of the Key to the City of Miami Beach.
