Officials running Montreal’s new electric rail transit system provided an update on the REM’s performance on Wednesday. Six weeks into operations and the train system has an on time performance record of almost 100 per cent. But the sprawling network, which is still under construction, is way over budget and the ongoing noise problems still haven’t been resolved. Global’s Tim Sargeant reports.
