An outreach team that patrols Edmonton transit spaces connecting vulnerable people to support is expanding. The Community Outreach Transit Team will now be operating nearly 24-7. The expansion comes as the city sees a growing need for support with the number of people experiencing homelessness at an all-time high. The City of Edmonton’s supervisor of community safety Jenna Pilot joined ‘Global News at Noon’ to share more about the impact the program is having.
