Elections Manitoba’s chief electoral officer Shipra Verma explained on Wednesday the procedure that will be introduced with vote-counting machines to prevent double voting. Verma added that “the machines have no connection to the internet and are programmed for a specific voting location so they cannot be switched out.” Voters can expect to see machines at 60 per cent of locations in the upcoming election.
