Pope urges peace in Sudan as battles rage on

Pope Francis used part of his Sunday prayer to appeal for an end to violence in Sudan as battles continued between rival military factions, which have triggered a humanitarian crisis in the African country. The pontiff also spoke about his upcoming trip to Hungary and underlined the importance of the handling of the migrant crisis in Europe, adding the continent was still battered by the “icy winds of war” in Ukraine.
