Katie Telford has been described as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s “right hand,” and on Friday, the chief of staff appeared in front of a parliamentary committee looking into foreign interference in Canadian elections. During her testimony, she often cited national security as limiting what she could say about alleged Chinese interference in the last federal election. France’s Constitutional Council has approved an unpopular plan to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64 that unleashed mass protests. It marks a victory for President Emmanuel Macron after three months of public anger over the legislation that have damaged his leadership. And Florida has recently banned abortions after six weeks.
