A very small Sikh community in Peterborough is making sure their religious heritage does not go unrecognized. Every year, a group of four to five families gather what they can bit by bit, just enough to mark two Sikh events annually. And although the celebrations are not as extravagant as those in Toronto, the community still goes the extra mile in helping Sikhs feel connected. One of the main organizers, Surinder Sikand joins Noor Ibrahim on this Sikh Heritage Month.
