The Alberta government won’t make a final provincial police decision before the spring election, but say other projects to increase safety are working. Edmonton police and Alberta Sheriffs say a 12-week pilot project meant to improve safety is going well. For several weeks, a dozen sheriffs have worked alongside EPS to patrol the inner city.
