Several pets died following a house fire in Hamilton Township on Dec. 30. Around 9 a.m., crews responded to a house fire on Harwood Road, just north of Baltimore. No one was home at the time of the blaze, however, pet birds and one cat died in the fire. Another cat was rescued by firefighters.
Damage is pegged at $1 million. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
