One person is unaccounted for following a house fire in Bancroft on Tuesday night. Bancroft OPP say say fire crews arrived on the scene on Meadow Court just after 8 p.m. The home was engulfed in flames. The Bancroft Fire Department along with the OPP's crime and forensic units are investigating, and the Ontario Fire Marshal has been called in. UPDATE FEB. 6: OPP confirmed human remains were located in the fire. A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determined the identity of the victim.
