Speaking at a press conference in Concord, Ont., on Wednesday, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Natural Resources and to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change Julie Dabrusin announced the Canadian government has set a 2026 target to mandate electric vehicle sales. By 2030, the mandate will hit 60 per cent of all sales and by 2035, every passenger vehicle sold in Canada will need to be electric.
