Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Monday during his visit to James Smith Cree Nation, the government will commit $62.5 million towards Indigenous safety and healing projects. Trudeau said that this is an opportunity to work with leaders and the community to design a working framework not based on a colonial system.
