Manitoba Minister for Education and Early Childhood Learning Wayne Ewasko spoke on Monday about $900,000 in additional funding to assist newcomers transition to the provinces education system. The Intensive Newcomer Support Grant supports new students who come from refugee backgrounds, whose schooling has been disrupted or whose literacy is low.
