Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority exits retail
Description
October 26, 2022
Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe announced on Wednesday that the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) will be bowing out of the retail sector. The SLGA is not a core business of government for the province, Moe said. He added that "health care, building new health-care facilities, education, transportation are core businesses of government." Wholesale will continue in the province and current employees will be supported during the transition.
