Students use comic book camp to platform Indigenous stories

August 18, 2022
Comic Book Art Camp coordinator Audrey Dreaver spoke to Global News on Thursday about a new summer program for Indigenous youth at First Nations University in Regina, Sask. Dreaver says youth are strongly connected to digital and illustrated imagery, and graphic novels are an important medium for delivering stories that are Indigenous. Students are given a kit of materials that they will take home to develop their skills when the course wraps up.

Comic Book Art Camp coordinator Audrey Dreaver spoke to Global News on Thursday about a new summer program for Indigenous youth at First Nations University in Regina, Sask.
