Cara Bahr, CEO of the Saskatoon YWCA, says pool repairs, declining swimming membership prior to COVID-19 and overall increased operating costs were some of the main reasons that led to the decision to close the facility. Bahr added exciting plans lie in the near future that includes transforming the building into an expanded employment and learning centre.
