For the last three decades, families with kids who are going through cancer treatment and survivors join together at “Camp Beat It.” The camping experience allows families to connect with others going through the same thing. Tracey Thurston, the director of development with the Kids Cancer Society, joined Global News Morning to talk about why it is so meaningful to families.
