Sgt. David Lee with the RCMP Integrated Homicide Investigation Team responded to reports it took some time for Ripudaman Singh Malik to receive treatment, saying police responded right away and first responders already started to provide emergency intervention. He also said it was a business area where the shooting took place and there was risk "at the time," but there is no further risk to the public.
