During a White House press briefing on Thursday, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre expressed “disappointment” in the U.S. Supreme Court’s earlier ruling that the Constitution protects an individual’s right to carry a handgun in public for self-defence. “When the President went to Uvalde, when he went to Buffalo with the First Lady, those are trips which he does not want to do again,” Jean-Pierre said to reporters.
