National Indigenous Peoples Day was celebrated at the New Brunswick legislature on Tuesday. Vendors, dancers, singers and drummers all joined the ceremony, all against the backdrop of a continued strain in the relationship between Indigenous communities and the provincial government. Nathalie Sturgeon has more. New Brunswick’s child and youth advocate believes the province needs better data to properly assess how social programs are impacting youth. That's one of the recommendations out of the annual state of the child report released in Moncton today. Robert Lothian reports
