The United Nations (UN) resident co-ordinator Ramiz Alakbarov said Wednesday that the ‘immediate needs’ were assessed at $15 million dollars in the hours following a devastating earthquake in Afghanistan. He said Turkey is best positioned to provide aid in the wake of the magnitude 6.1 earthquake.
