Canada to become 1st country to require warning labels on individual cigarettes

Minister of Mental Health and Addictions Carolyn Bennett announced Friday that Canada is poised to require warning labels on individual cigarettes, making it the first country to do so. Bennett said the move would ensure that the “essential messages” reach youth who “often access cigarettes one at a time in social situations.”
