The Secretary-General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, said during a news conference on Tuesday that Russia could be planning a “false flag” operation in Ukraine, possibly involving chemical weapons. “I will not speculate on any military response from NATO’s side except for saying NATO’s main responsibility is to make sure we protect and defend all allies,” Stoltenberg said when asked if Russia’s potential use of chemical weapons could draw them into the fight.
