Trucker protests: Trudeau invokes Emergencies Act for 1st time to aid convoy blockade response

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the never-before-used Emergencies Act on Monday, amid ongoing protests against COVID-19 restrictions. He said the act would be used to “strengthen and support law enforcement agencies” as they respond to the protests.
