COVID-19: Ontario to receive international nurses to assist with staffing shortages
Description
January 11, 2022
Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott announced on Tuesday the province would be deploying internationally educated nurses to hospitals and long-term care homes across the province in need of staffing support due to COVID-19. Elliott said more than 1,200 applicants had already expressed interest, and the hospital matching process would begin later this week.

Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott announced on Tuesday the province would be deploying internationally educated nurses to hospitals and long-term care homes across the province in need of staffing support due to COVID-19.
