Optional masking in Ontario schools: Peterborough Public Health
Description
August 11, 2022
Parents seem to be divided after the Ministry of Education's announcement Monday that said masking will continue to be optional at schools this September.
For some, the announcement may not seem odd, as mask mandates in many settings have been lifted across the province for quite a while. For others, it's a concern for increased COVID-19 transmission.
Noor Ibrahim asked Peterborough's medical officer of health, Dr. Thomas Piggott, what the health unit has to say.
