Military personnel from Australia, Fiji and Papua New Guinea, as well as Australian Federal Police officers, have been deployed to the Solomon Islands as part of a peace-keeping mission, said the Australia Defence Force. New Zealand has said it will also be deploying members of its defence force and police to the capital, Honiara.
