The New Reality: Oct. 30
Description
October 30, 2021
Despite repeated recommendations and calls to action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, Indigenous education is still not mandated across the country. On this week’s episode of The New Reality, Farah Nasser explores the importance of thoughtful and authentic education about and informed by Indigenous people, the role it plays in change, and why it’s needed now more than ever. Plus, after decades of low activity, researchers says that we are entering what is expected to be an active 11-year cycle for solar storms. And a severe event could impact the way we live our digital lives, leaving us disconnected for weeks or even months. Laura Casella tells us why we are more vulnerable to these storms in Canada than other parts of the world.
