Rapid testing program in schools begins in New Brunswick on Oct. 12

New Brunswick’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Jennifer Russell said on Tuesday that the province has launched a rapid testing program for schools that starts Oct. 12. Unvaccinated students who are identified as a close contact of someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 will be given a five to 15 day supply of rapid tests. The doctor said this program is designed to prevent disruption to learning due to COVID-19 outbreaks.
