A backpack display at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building commemorating the lives lost at a former residential school site in Cowessess First Nation gained a lot more traction than organizers anticipated. Taz Dhaliwal has more on where the backpacks are going and what next steps organizers feel are needed to help keep up momentum when it comes to fighting for Indigenous lives and rights.
