COVID-19: Manitoba’s first P.1 variant case from non-essential travel

Manitoba’s deputy chief public health officer Dr. Jazz Atwal said on Friday that the P.1 coronavirus variant, first detected in Brazil, and that was discovered in the case of a person from the Interlake-Eastern health region on Thursday, was due to non-essential travel.
