Officials with the World Health Organization (WHO) on Wednesday said that Chinese vaccine makers Sinopharm and Sinovac have presented data on their COVID-19 vaccines, indicating levels of efficacy that would be compatible with those required by the WHO. Officials also addressed concerns regarding the AstraZeneca vaccine, saying that the organization's scientists continuedto monitor safety evidence but the shot's benefit-risk profile "weighs heavily in favour" of its use.
