Maj. Gen. Dany Fortin said on Thursday that Canada is in the process of receiving 1.5 million AstraZeneca COVID-19 doses from the United States, and will distribute them pending regulatory approval. Health Canada’s Chief Medical Advisor Dr. Supriya Sharma added that although the vaccine is authorized in Canada, Health Canada is looking at two U.S. AstraZeneca vaccine manufacturing facilities to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
