Assisted dying laws expanded to include mental illness

The Senate has passed a bill to allow more Canadians access to medical assistance in dying (MAID), including people suffering from mental illness. But as Heather Yourex-West explains, there are fears these new rules could harm marginalized Canadians, who already face barriers to health care.
