For 44 years the annual Elders and Traditional Peoples Gathering has taken place at Trent University connecting communities from across North America. Elders and traditional teachers from coast to coast attend to share their wisdom and stories with youth, students and community members, through a series of experiential workshops, presentations and lectures.
For the first time ever, in year 45, the gathering will happen virtually. We look into the challenges and benefits, as indigenous communities strive to protect their elders while still sharing the vast knowledge they keep.
