During a briefing on Wednesday, Manitoba’s Vaccine Implementation Task Force lead Johanu Botha announced that the first shipment of the newly-approved AstraZeneca/Covishield COVID-19 vaccine will be distributed through a pilot project model that will allocate 18,000 doses to participating medical clinics and pharmacies.
