Scientists discover ‘space hurricane’ over North Pole

A group of scientists from China’s Shandong University have discovered a so-called “space hurricane” over the North Pole by piecing together satellite data from 2014, according to findings published in Nature Communications. It happened in August of that year and lasted for about eight hours.
